Simple and Delicious Strawberry Syrup
This week our local grocery store has had strawberries on sale for only one dollar a pound, or an eight pound flat for only seven dollars! We have put strawberries on everything the past couple of days along with 3 pounds dehydrating for this summers backpacking trips.
One of the family’s favorites was this simple three ingredient strawberry syrup for your pancakes, waffles, or french toast that only takes about 5 minutes to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 lbs strawberries 
- 1/4 cup sweetener of your choice (I used agave) 
- 1/2 lemon 
Directions
- Remove the tops from your strawberries 
- Place the strawberries into a tall container 
- Add 1/4 sweetener (sugar, agave, honey) 
- Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon 
- Using an immersion blender, completely blend up until a fluid consistency 
- Pour over your pancakes, waffles, or french toast 
- If you have left overs, store in the fridge.
